Multifaceted Ecological Restoration Approach
After Fire

Project Summary:

Following the forest fires in Muğla, studies have been conducted to utilize and economically assess non-timber forest products in forest villages. Successful examples have been identified in terms of biodiversity by examining restoration practices from previous years’ fires. Within the scope of the project, alongside post-fire ecological restoration efforts, the aim is to address the needs of local communities and preserve biodiversity. Additionally, the impact of fires on forest villagers and their socio-economic effects have been investigated, and communication and advocacy steps have been taken with civil society organizations.
